Handphone....

I just lost my handphone and I now urgently need a handphone to at least contact my parents... (now, I am using my friend's handphone..)

1 day after the 'robbery', I went to 1 Utama to search for 5300 , which specifications (Better and larger display resolution, better camera) was slightly better than my previous phone ..The price was also quite affordable..

Transformer edition, cool..

But the workers there told me that Nokia manufacturer has not released new 5300 phone already. They asked me to buy 5700 instead , which was more expensive. Just that i still disliked the twist function and the camera is located at the side of the phone..

In my opinion ,handphone 's main function are still making calls and text messaging. then additional features, like FM radio, music player and camera come.. So, the advanced features like GPS, Wi Fi connectivity and so forth are not essential to me..

So, goodbye , N95 8GB... Yet, you are too expensive for me..

My ideal handphone should:
1. be nokia music express edition phone (5200 is 1 of them)
2. have at least 3.0 mega pixels camera
3. have all the basic function (SMS, call, camera, music player....)
4. have high resolution display screen (16 million colour)

Finally I found it...

Nokia 5610

It fulfills my requirement...Eureka.. Yet,

As it is just released recently, the price is still very high relatively ,about RM 1400 (I am still student..)

click here to read its specifications, really impress me...

Before i forget, when I am searching for phones, I see W960i . Its specs. are almost the same with N95 8GB, and it has touch pad feature..AMAZING.. The price does scare me away, around RM 3300 ..

Before test- Nokia N Series Roadshow is back + Christmas+ Golden Compass

On 8/12, I went to 'roam' across 1 Utama due to boringness.. And I saw this..

Huhu, the roadshow was back. This time, the main characters were N77 and N82

N77

N77, in my opinion , it looked like a mobile TV. Compared to N73, its design looked very alike in design. Its camera was only 2.0 MP..(better than my phone now)

when i saw N82, I quickly linked it with K850i which was just released recently..

The Comparison Between N 82 and K 850i (click to enlarge it)

Read more here

sigh..I wanted to change my phone, but no money..

Before going back , I saw a band (or orchestra) performing on the stage in Oval court.

-------------------

On 9/12,we watched 'Golden Compass' at 9.20pm after having dinner in Kluang station

The story narrated about a girl , who was destined to know how to use the golden compass, which could be used to know the answer of whatever question.

Based on author Philip Pullman's bestselling and award-winning novel,'The Golden Compass' tells the first story in Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy. 'The Golden Compass' is an exciting fantasy adventure, set in an alternative world where people's souls manifest themselves as animals, talking bears fight wars, and Gyptians and witches co-exist. At the center of the story is Lyra (played by newcomer Dakota Blue Richards), a 12-year-old girl who starts out trying to rescue a friend who's been kidnapped by a mysterious organization known as the Gobblers - and winds up on an epic quest to save not only her world, but ours as well. 'The Golden Compass' stars an ensemble cast that includes Nicole Kidman, Daniel Craig, Sam Elliott, and Ian McShane. The film is written and directed by Chris Weitz (About A Boy, Antz) and produced by Deborah Forte and Bill Carraro (Frequency). It is executive produced by Andrew Miano and Paul Weitz (In Good Company).

On the next day, I saw my friend playing dotA for almost 1 solid day to relax themselves. Is this the so-called pre-test syndrome?? Haha

Nokia N Series Roadshow at 1 Utama

Yesterday, I went to 1 Utama to buy daily needs in Giant in 1 Utama. There was a roadshow about Nokia N series .There were 2 phones that they wanted to highlight, namely N81 8GB and N 95 8 GB .

8GB built in internal memory can store up to 6000 songs. Besides there was also built in OS--S60

The promoter showed me both these phones. I would be able to play and test the phones. Both phones were black in colour..(Cool, just like vista Ultimate)

The N95 8GB had a cool superb camera, 5 mega pixels ...(better than my handphone now for 5 times!!!)

This phone had 2.8" QVGA TFT display. That meant we can use it to watch movie because the display screeen was big enough and quite high defintion..

This phone can also be used to surf net using Wi-Fi, besides GPRS and 3G, wow..

Then, I tried out N81 8GB. I found that this was a good gaming phone, The promoter let me tried me out the FIFA 2008 and Car Racing. It just worked well as Nokia Engage. It used dedicated game keys...We can play game with either portrait or landscape view

Before playing games, another promoter let me tried out this phone. It had very nice sound. It came with the Nokia AV connect of 3.5mm, so can use any headphone to listen
and will never only stuck with nokia's headphone....

The N81 had a very special multimedia key which is called the Navi wheel...
You can scroll like using the ipod, so by using the Navi wheel, was easy to access
to favourite songs, images and games...

Unlike other N-series phone,N81 had the function called Nokia Mobile Search...
,so you can search everything by using this function immediately

There were many other functions, such as direct upload video to vox and images to flickr, podcasting, check mail through hp for g-mail and yahoo, viewing maps, view and edit adobe pdf file.

I hope that these 2 phones' price will drop in 2 years time, so that I could afford to buy 1 of them

The market price of:
N81 8GB:RM2500+-
N95 8GB:RM3500+-

Low Yat trip

This day was the day before the Deepavali holiday. Luckily, my class ended early, so I managed to go to Low Yat Plaza to buy something.

After spending about 2 hours on the bus and monorail, I reached Low Yat Plaza at around 4pm. Then, I began doing some surveys and compared all the prices and brands..

Finally, I ended up with buying these things:

120 GB external hard drive

3-fan cooler pad

Kington microSD card--to be slotted in my handphone..

On my way to monorail, I saw this 'spaceship' beside the Sungai Wang building.I thought it was a theatre about space adventure..

Then, I went back to Bandar Utama as the same way I went to Low Yat.Nothing special..

But, when I reached 1 Utama, something happened....

Wherever I went, the shops' bar code detector(i don't know the exact name, something that detects whether you steal something or not) rang.. I felt so embarrassed, because I was looked like a thief. The worker in the Low Yat 's shop forgot to remove the bar code

..busy moving files in laptop to external hard drive..

PortableApps Suite 1.0

Never heard it before? Never mind , let me explain a little bit..

From this site
, we can see that this application is a quite convenient stuff. When we use college computer, sometimes we can't find the software we want. For example, when we want to download songs, the transfer speed is damn slow.We can't find any download tools inside the computers.Yet, the computer don't even have java and flash player pre-installed , so we can't even watch videos online..

PortableApps Suite 1.0 is a good solution for this type of trouble. We download this setup files, them install on our removable drives(usually refer to USB drive). The most important software inside is Firefox Portable(1 of the alternatives of Internet Explorer).Using this program, we no need to worry about flash player(we need to install it manually*) and the java thing..

*after installing the suite, you go to open any site required flash player, then there will be yellow bar on top, click it, Firefox will find install player itself

1 more thing,I find that there are a lot of good applications besides firefox, such as Open Office(the functions is almost same like Microsoft Office), Sudoku...

To download this suite, use this link
